How To Do Scoring Inside Kickball?

Doing scores in a Kickball match is relatively simple. Because a run would always be scored when a runner safely reaches the home plate which happens before the end of an innings. But if the ball gets kicked and it clears out the outfield boundary, the runner that has kicked the ball or any of those players at the other bases run unopposed to the home plate, scoring a run for each of them.

How Does Winning Come In Kickball?

If all the teams have already had their allotted number of innings, the team that would be there with an almost greater number of runs is declared a winner. However, if there is a tied game, WAKA states that an “accuracy kick” competition would be used to ultimately determine the winner of the game.

Such competition involves one designated kicker from each team kicking towards the 2n base from the home plate. In this case, when a kicker who able to kick the ball closest to the base, he would be declared the ultimate winner of their match team.

The Order Of Kickers:

In an officially played Kickball match, the order of the kickers is not commonly specified. However, the usual convention is to have an order of the girl/boy or boy/girl.

No Strikeouts:

Unlike the baseball game, kickball has no strikeouts, leading off or stealing inside its matches.

Ending Of The Game:

The play usually comes to an end once the ball returns to the pitcher.

The Player Gets Out Of The Match When:

  • The ball is caught by the player of an opposing team.
  • They are either tagged out by an opposing player.
  • If the player is forced out at a base by an opposition team member.

A Complete Fair play:

A full game of fair play is being shown in the kickball matches. There has to be a fair game between players and everything must be taken very seriously. Because the players are expected to monitor themselves and walk.
