3 Chasers:

Chasers have the opportunity to pass the ball to each other. But there will only be one chaser entering the scoring zone at any one time in the entire match.

There are two beaters inside the game who throw the bludgers. These bludgers are thrown at the opposition to disturb or disrupt them.

At the same time, the beaters on the opposition’s side perform the same duty with the intention of throwing them back towards the first team’s beaters. However, the players selected for these positions are relatively the strongest and most physical within the entire team.

One Keeper:

The game also has a defensive player whose task is to defend the team’s hoops. He should be the guy with more intelligence and tactics to stop the goal’s from happening.

One Seeker:

Now, the remaining player lefts behind who named Seeker. His entire job throughout the game is to capture the all-important Golden Snitch, resulting in his team’s victory.

Equipment Required To Play This Quidditch Game:

To play with full passion and safety, players must have the following set of equipment inside the quidditch matches.

A Broomstick:

This is supposed to be a stick made with various materials, including PVC piping or Wood. Players are supposed to be mounted on these broomsticks. Moreover, players must always hold their broomsticks between their legs while playing quidditch matches.

Hoops:

There is a total of 3 hoops inside the playing court, which are situated or created at each end of the pitch. These all vary in their heights, including 2m, 1.4m, and 1m, respectively. Moreover, such hoops are placed at a distance of almost two broomsticks apart. Between these, the tallest one should be on the left side.

Quaffle:

Quaffle is basically a ball in this game that only chasers or keepers may utilize. Such a ball is a volleyball type that has been deflated. The chasers have the duty to throw this ball into the Hoops for the mission to score more points ultimately.

The objective behind doing that is to stop the players from what they are actually doing at that time. They might have to dismount and run back towards their own hoops. Plus, they should have to touch those hoops before they start playing again.

A Golden Snitch:

The Golden Snitch is just like a Tennis ball which is to be placed in a long yellowish sock. Then it is attached to the Snitch Runner. A Snitch Runner inside the game is a neutral player who tries his best to avoid each team’s Seeker. Because Seeker is the only person or position behind being able or catching the Golden Ball for real. Once that Golden Ball gets captured, the game ends at that moment.

How Does Scoring Happen Inside Quidditch?

The Quidditch game allows you to score in almost two ways. These are given as follows:

Scoring By Quaffle:

Firstly, the Chasers can score a simple goal by getting possession of the Quaffle, which is the entering position’s scoring area, and throwing that ball successfully through one of the three hoops. Doing this will give the team 10 points totally.

Scoring By Golden Snitch:

Secondly, scoring can be done if the Seeker is able to get on the Golden Snitch. Because catching this game will award the team 30 points, and ultimately that will end here.

How Does Winning Happen Inside Quidditch?

There are no complicated rules to win an officially conducted Quidditch match. But one team only has to do is to score more points than the opponent.

However, suppose a Seeker or any team successfully captures the Golden Snitch at first. In that case, that team will be declared the winner of the match. However, technically, this is incorrect because the winner should be the one with more points at the end.

The most prominent rule to become a winner is defined through capturing the Golden Snitch, which awards a team with 30 points. Having 30 points at once will ultimately lead you towards the winning side.

However, that should not be technically correct. Because even if a team doesn’t be able to capture the Golden Snitch but has more points at the end, it will be the winner of the match. That means you cannot always be the winner if you capture the Golden Snitch.
