The Game’s Organizing Bodies:
Unlike some other games or any other games present on this planet, it is not supposed to be played like a traditional one-versus one team or an individual format. But the game is to be played with almost three teams and all these teams keep competing with each other to win at the same time.
Being a popular game in today’s world, this is to be played all over the world and hopefully overseen by all those International Kin-Ball Federations which are present for being the responsibility of organizing these matches. The countries in which this game is highly popular include the USA, Malaysia, Denmark, Belgium, Canada, France, Spain, and Switzerland. Moreover, it does have to rise in popularity in many other nations year on year. But kin-ball is regulated worldwide by the International Kin-Ball Sport Federation.
The Ultimate Objective Of The Kin-Ball:
Here, the players have a simple objective to follow in which they would have to score more points than the two other opponents. This would help them win the game. This scoring part is supposed to be done by the players working as a team against those other two team members. However, the game has a nature in which there is a great deal of teamwork required. Plus, the players need to be physically fit and active because of the fast-paced nature of the Kin-Ball.
The Players And Equipment Inside Kin-Ball:
The game is supposed to be played in a gymnasium on a usual basis. But it can also be played outdoors sometimes. Here, the only official and must require equipment to play this game is the Kin-Ball itself. It is 48 inches in size with a weight of almost 2.2 lbs. For this ball, there can be a huge range of colors including grey, Pink, and Black. Besides, when there is an official game of the Kin-Ball, an electric ball inflater is also required as is a scoreboard.
How Does Scoring Happen Here?
In an officially played Kin-Ball game, the scoring is relatively simple. Whenever there is a team that is at fault, a point will be awarded to the other two teams. This fault is supposed to occur when a team fails to catch and control the kin-ball before it touches the ground.
How Does Winning Come In Kin-Ball?
Whenever the game is at its end, the scores are calculated and the team with the most amount of points is declared the ultimate winner of the match. However, if in the end there are two or more teams with the same amount of points, a tie-break situation would come into play. This tie break might have the following criteria as described below.
Declaring As 1st Amount Of First Places Won:
It is the situation when the teams have the same amount of first places in the match.
2nd Amount Of The Second Places Won:
It is the situation when the teams have the same amount of second places.
Third Amount Of The Fair-Play Ranking Points:
It is a situation when the teams have the same amount of points at the end of the match.
The 4th Amount Of Ranking Points In The Game(s) Where The Teams Played Against Each Other:
This is a situation when the teams have the same amount of ranking points in the games that they have played against each other.
The 5th Total Amount Of The Won Periods:
It is the situation in which the teams have the same amount of won periods.
The 6th Amount Of Periods Won By Each Team:
This is supposed to be during the games in which they played one against the other. And only if the team has the same amount.
The 7th Total Amount Of The Lost Periods During Preliminaries:
It is the situation when the teams have the same amount of lost periods during those preliminaries.
The Final 8th The IKBF:
In this situation, the IKBF will determine if it is appropriate to run a 5 points period or to play a complete game.
However, it is usually relatively highly unusual for a tie break to need to go beyond the 3rd or the 4th criteria. Because most games get settled even in those first periods.
